Rhys McKee To Face Kams Ekpo At BAMMA Newcastle

[London 20.11.17] Lightweight sensation Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee returns to BAMMA after signing an extended contract, and will face off against Kams ‘Shin Panther’ Ekpo at BAMMA Newcastle on Friday 15th December 2017.

In what will be a spectacular affair, the returning Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee takes on the wild and unpredictable Kams ‘Shin Panther’ Ekpo in a Lightweight bout. After signing on the dotted line with the promotion, McKee will look to hit the ground running and get himself right back into the title mix once more.
Facing him on the other side of the cage will best Kams ‘Shin Panther’ Ekpo. The French born fighter who resides in London will look to make his BAMMA debut in Newcastle a spectacular one, after narrowly missing out on competing at BAMMA 24: Kone Vs. Phillips after injuries sidelined the bout with Lloyd Manning.
In what will be a fan friendly spectacular, this addition to the fight card has all the ingredients of potentially one of the most explosive bouts of the night.

Also confirmed for BAMMA Newcastle via social media last week is a Featherweight bout featuring Josh Abraham Vs. Lerone ‘The Miracle’ Murphy.

Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee (5-1-1) - After his sensational fight of the year candidate with Richie Smullen at BAMMA 30: Philpott Vs. Walsh in July ended in a draw, the Next Generation Northern Ireland standout now makes his way to Newcastle for his first bout with the promotion outside of the North and South of Ireland.

Kams ‘Shin Panther’ Ekpo (4-1) - Making his debut at UCMMA in February 2015, Ekpo submitted Klodian Tego following a slam to kick his career off with a bang. Following further wins over Radostin Mitev and Viktor Gustavsson, the highly touted Ekpo makes his BAMMA debut against McKee in the Metro Radio Arena. Ekpo also makes the jump to Lightweight.

Josh Abraham (6-1) - Making his second appearance with the promotion after featuring in an amateur undercard bout against Nathan Clayton at BAMMA 18: DuQuesnoy Vs. Klacszek in 2015. Training out of Roker Rough House MMA & Boxing, Abraham is riding a 5 fight win streak and remains undefeated since March of 2016.

Lerone ‘The Miracle’ Murphy (4-0) - The All Powers Gym's rising star is currently undefeated as an amateur and pro fighter, with all but one of his bout wins coming via way of T/KO in the first round. Only going to decision once, Murphy is an exciting fighter on the rise and his debut at BAMMA will be the perfect platform for him to demonstrate his skill set and that he is potentially ready to step up to the bigger platform.
