[London 16.11.17] BAMMA today announce a veteran's hometown return at BAMMA 33 to be held on 15th December at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle.
After several years away from the sport, Curt ‘The War’ Warburton returns to the confines of the cage as he takes on Warren ‘Relentless’ Kee in a Welterweight battle. The former RDX Lightweight European Champion will return in front of his hometown for this bout against the wily veteran Warren ‘Relentless’ Kee. Kee himself is looking to get back into the win column, so will this be a glorious homecoming for Warburton.
“It’s great to be back after 3 years, and to top it off I’ll be fighting in the North East with BAMMA on my birthday.
Best birthday present ever” - Curt ‘The War’ Warburton
Curt ‘The War’ Warburton (13-6) last fought in 2014. After a 3 year absence ‘The War’ returns in front of his hometown crowd. A hugely popular fighter still, Warburton was originally due to fight Warren Kee back in 2015. Now a fit and healthy Warburton is set to return and enter the Welterweight division for the first time on December 15th, to finish what he started with Kee.
Warren ‘Bodysnatcher’ Kee (8-6-1) returns to the Welterweight division where he made most impact in his career, after trying both the Middleweight and Lightweight divisions. Kee last fought on BAMMA 20, where he faced off against Jack Grant, since then Kee has fought a few times outside of the promotion trading wins and losses in the various weight classes. Kee now gets the fight that was meant to happen in 2015, when he faces off against Warburton at the Metro Radio Arena.
