One of UKMMA's best kept secrets is headed to the SSE Arena at BAMMA London to take on Yannick 'Black Mamba' Bahati for the BAMMA World Middleweight title and he is Mike 'Sea Bass' Shipman.
After quietly building up an impressive 10-1 victory which includes wins over the likes of Dominic 'Dominator' Clarke, Marcin 'Mad Boy' Prostko and Craig 'Thundercat' White. Now signing with BAMMA to take fight ofr the BAMMA World title on 15th September, Shipman is excited at the prospect
"I'm excited to sign for BAMMA and get a title shot, it's a well respected belt and winning and defending it will boost my profile and move my career in the direction it needs.
I got to see Yannick close up when he faced off with Matt Hallam, he struck me as a very nervous character not in full control of his emotions, we all deal with the energy of a fight in different ways, his is to make a lot of noise to convince himself he is not afraid. That's fine, that's what he likes to do, but that noise to me is like a squeaky toy to a dog, it excites me, it makes me want to get in there and maul him."
The London Shootfighter standout, Shipman is ready for the challenge facing him but he still found time to let the fans know what they are going to get for their money when they get to watch him in the BAMMA cage for the first time
"BAMMA fans can expect a high pace of refined, calculated violence. I'm going to enjoy myself in there and, as always, be looking to finish."
BAMMA London takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 15th September and tickets are on sale now from http://bit.ly/BAMMA31
